Disclaimer
Mental wellbeing can represent difficult lived experiences and include stories that are uncomfortable to hear, and that can activate unwelcome emotions and unease.
While we aim to cultivate a welcome and inclusive environment within a safe community of care, we recognize that this event cannot meet everyone’s unique needs, nor is it intended to provide guidance, or advice or medical or psychological direction.
We believe that education, information, and open conversation about mental wellbeing should be available to everyone. We understand and honour those for whom attendance is not possible and we invite you to take care and use discretion when choosing to attend and/or bring children or young adults to the event. *We will have a professional counsellor at the event, available for support as required. As well, the speakers are provided a safe and supportive environment before, during, and after sharing their stories.
